Escape From Alcatraz? No Chance!

Amazing skating, all the older blokes holding their own. Great to see Dave Duncan skating again – love that guy!! Sky turned up and ripped with such style – also the young Steve Pinero turned up. This young kid was tearing up the whole bowl, and then pulled off a 540 off the hip in a 4 ft deep bowl!!! [Below: Rune by MRZ]

Bumped into Keith “The Meekster” Meek, hadn’t seen him for 31 years, since I was in California back in 1980 – really great to see him again.  9pm came along and the BBQ ended. Everyone went onto “Butlers Bowl” – we got an invite but didn’t know where it was, so we headed back to Alcatraz and drank until the small hours.
