The rest of the plaza – acres of flatland marble and some weird curved benches – is pretty much fair game and the local law enforcement and security Nazis tend to leave you alone. Mikey Halls got a rad front lip and young Dave Baker laid down a wallie shuv-out sequence up and over one of the benches.

After that we make our way up to the considerable University campus – plenty of spots here, but security is notoriously tight. We hit the Big 6 set, an ornamental fish pond, and finally got busted on a crazy manny pad area.
The following weekend, I ran into Tibs (Mark Tidbury) who was out for a Sunday afternoon shred at Eastleigh – dodgy street park, but the bowl is sweet and a well rinsed hole in the ground by Southampton’s hardcore tranny moshers.
The next session I hook up with Darren, Ranny and Cam Butterworth who drag us off to this huge tiered-level carpark in the back of beyond. Turns out to be a fun spot with a sick gap to session. Cam and Tate make the most of the late summer sunshine, and pull out some sick street steeze under the shadow of one of the biggest electricity pylons I’ve ever seen.
