During the rest of the afternoon we’re escorted to various other spots around the city. First up, a crazy stair set and rail with virtually no run up. SA knocks out a mental back-boardy after nearly rendering himself unconscious from a nasty bail.
Next we head to a backstreet Pole-Jam where all kinds of gnar went down, notably Glens 5050 wallie gap to street (huge!!), and Todd’s wonderful no-comply pole destroyer (see the cover shot).
The University area is next on the spot list, but it was starting to get real windy, so we pissed about on a flowerbed gap after negotiating some additional ‘turn-a-blind-eye’ skate time with the Uni’s security guards, who were pretty cool about things.

We ended up back at the 7 set outside of the Plymouth College Of Art. Accompanied by the booming dub beats from the nearby Voodoo Lounge, and shouts of “get back to the skatepark you wankers” from a passing Beamer, the set gets bossed by SA’s wicked tre flip – one of the quickest and cleanest I’ve ever shot.

Skateboarding Photo is a monthly “web-mag” dedicated to presenting images and words from emerging, as well as established, skaters / photographers / writers / artists and brands. By promoting the independent nature of skateboarding, focusing on what’s happening just outside of (and often well below) the mainstream, it aims to provide a collaborative platform that encourages high quality contributions from the UK, as well as worldwide, skate community. | SITEMAP | ABOUT | CONTACT
